    About

This is a personal blog used to make notes on what I’m doing. What I do, usually concerns or is related to science (bioinformatics), society (general issues), some bits of programming (mostly web-programming), etc. I did a review of this page today, almost two years since the blog first appeared.

Science is was expected to include posts on astronomy, astrophysics, artificial intelligence, molecular biology and bioinformatics. However, it appears that I’m only rarely writing on the topics in the fields of bioinformatics and artificial intelligence. Molecular biology is less and less interesting (I’m actually abandoning it), astronomy stays a passionate hobby but “observations only”, and “astrophysics” was just a loud word, as I really know too little even about the actual meaning of that loud word.

Society is was largely undefined, and is was not planned to be defined within the viewable future. Actually, it never became “defined”. However, I did write several posts on elections in Ukraine and some general social issues.

Programming most probably will be limited to web-related technologies like PHP, MySQL, as well as scripting with Python, and doing statistics in R. Probably some stuff will concern [D]HTML, CSS and JavaScript, although those are not my favourite. (This paragraph stays the same as it was… though I do not recollect writing anything about R since this blog was started, but that still can change.)
